Home Spirit

Never forget how wildly capable you are and fall in love with the process of becoming the very best version of yourself, because the magic is in you babe!

In this collection we have focused on the color white. This pure color is the sum of all the colors of light. So physically it embodies not nothingness, but everything. For us, white is a symbol of: Light, faith, the beginning, innocence, modesty,  truth, neutrality and accuracy.

Our collection is made for the independent, open hearted and confident woman who likes to dance in the sun, work for her dreams and lives a conscious life. It’s made for the woman who likes to stand out of the masses and who is wearing our pieces in her personal style.

Our highlight for this season is the most comfy and beautiful Musslin Fabric out of 100% organic cotton. We choosed soft and bright colors as beige and white to create a stunning two pieced beach inspired look.

In this collection we were focusing on the color white. This pure color is the sum of all colors of light. So, physically, it embodies not nothingness, but everything. For us, white is symbolizing: Light, Faith, the Beginning, Innocence, Modesty, Truth, Neutrality, and Accuracy.

Clean and elegant cuts, small details combined with soft and pure colors.

To add some extra structure, we worked the first time with the sewing technic called shirred. Shirring is a way to gather cloth into decorative rows by parallel stitching. By adding an elastic thread it’s creating its unique look.

We worked again with our beautiful undyed organic cotton. We love the fact, that every grower owns the land they farm. No intermediaries or exploitation. 150 farmers and their families are just as much a part of the project as we and our supplier are. They always obtain the cotton in unginned bales; in other words, the farmers keep all the seeds for replanting or for feeding the animals.

What we love the most, is that they only use the cotton in the natural color of the Earth.
Therefore a completely pure and biodegradable fabric.

Most of the linen we use is made in small batches in Eastern Europe where there is a strong heritage of spinning and weaving linen fabric. The linen collection is woven in a mill run on green energy and is Oeko-Tex certified and the dyes used on this cloth are GOTS certified.

Linen is naturally stain resistant and does not pile. It is easy to wash as it can sustain high temperatures, is has very little if no shrinkage and is very strong. It is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, hypo allergenic and thermoregulating, it will also absorb up 20%  moisture before feeling damp.

Eco Credentials:

Flax is a strong plant best grown in northern Europe. It needs little or no fertilisers and due to the local climate, little extra water. It doesn’t really require many pesticides either as it can grow in poor quality soil. The Advisory Commission Report to the European Parliament stated that flax cultivation has positive effects on eco-system diversity as it allows for an “environmental pause”. One hectare of flax can retain 3.7 tonnes of CO2. Every part of the plant is used, what isn’t used to produce linen can be used to make linseed oil, paper, cattle feed or even soap.

Linen is therefore almost naturally organic. It is completely biodegradable, recyclable and due to its natural absorbency, it requires less dye than cotton. Linen therefore scores high on the ecological chart.

Tencel is made from wood pulp that’s harvested from tree farms that are sustainably managed and traceable. The fiber production itself is more eco-friendly than cotton production due to its’ closed-loop process. This means that up to 99% of the water and solvents used are recycled and reused. Tencel is a cellulose fibre, which is made by dissolving wood pulp. It is durable, resistant to wrinkles and has the silkiest drape to handle. It has excellent natural breathability with 50% greater moisture absorption than cotton. Making it a good choice for those with sensitive skin. It is also anti-bacterial and thermoregulating.

Eco credentials:

The process of Tencel production ameliorates much of its own environmental effects. Like cotton, Tencel is made from plant materials. However, manufacturing Tencel requires less energy and water than cotton. The solvents used to turn the wood pulp into fibre are contained in a closed loop system, with a quoted recovery rate of 99%. As a naturally derived fibre, Tencel is also biodegradable. Although it is dyed conventionally (which can be harmful to the environment), Tencel requires a lot less dye than cotton. The manufacturers are actively striving towards greener, cleaner and more efficient production and are currently investing in new, renewable energy sources.

Just like all our last collection, we sew each the pieces by hand and with a lot of love in our studio in Zurich. We’re now four busy bees and have a great new studio with lot of space for new challanges. Sewing a piece of clothing is a very complex and time consuming work. Each step is made manually. From cutting the fabrics, pinning patterns, sewing seams and alot of hand work.

For the first time, we collaborate with a great factory (the same which supplies us with the beautiful fabric mentioned above) which produced two new basics for us. They are called SUN and SEPIA. We hope you like them as much as we do!
